What this does, and what it does not

It reads your notes and writes the kind of short recap you would read aloud to restart a session — what happened, what the party decided, and what was still hanging when you stopped. It is the same generator the paid product uses, asked for a shorter answer.

It cannot know anything you did not write down. If your notes say “fight in the sewers” then the recap says roughly that; it will not invent the villain’s name or how the fight ended, because inventing things is the one behaviour that makes a recap useless. That limitation is the whole argument for recording the session instead.

Nothing you paste is stored. The tool is free and limited per visitor, so if you are recapping a whole campaign one session at a time, an account will serve you better.
